Day 23
Well today's post is a combination Photo of The Day, ILP Daily Challenge "Indulge" and preparation for a new offer for my clients (who I hopw will indulge themselves by buying jewellery).
I'm NOT GOOD at product shots and I'd like your cc on this one. Do you think it works on a black b'ground? Should I try white? Is the lighting OK - I used natural window light from the side?
Honest opinions would be much appreciated.

I'd love to have an "indulgence" such as this. However, I am a bit distracted by the shadow on the black underneath the metal frame. I'll be white (or cream?) would look better as you won't lose the detail around the gray/metal frame.
ReplyDeleteAs a jewelry designer who photographs her own work I have some tips. Make yourself a homemade light box. Google light box, lots of instructions to be found on the net. Secondly, my macro lens is my best friend when it comes to capturing details on jewelry. The difference between my macro lens and other lenses is as different as day and night. Drop me a line if you have any questions!
